2. I was as tall as she is when I was 14.....

I reached my full height of 6'1", but back in 1969 girls were still supposed to be submissive, so I hated every minute of my life and cried every time I had to try on clothes.

Now at 56, I revel in my strength. I'm still athletic, and I'm so happy to see tall girls who don't feel like freaks or are worried no man will ever want them. Happy b'day, Malia Obama! And tall-i-darity to you and Mom Michelle!
