MSNBC: Dylan Ratigan is being an idiot again
He suggested that premise that the UK Scandal could happen here in the US. I guess he doesn't believe it hasn't already happened. What a efn doofus.

1. He also implied that reasons OTHER than the Bush tax cuts are to blame for the deficit
Arrrg. So he's pumping the Gang of 6 proposal as "responsible"

When Dylan is for it we have to wonder.

3. I guess he admits he's a conservative, as he just did, saying he favors
raising Medicare eligibility age and means testing.

knows it all and doesn't know jack!

6. Well it's true.
There are other reasons for the deficits and the rising national debt other than the Bush tax cuts.

Here are a couple:

-- two Bush unfunded wars
-- the Bush sponsored unpaid-for prescription drug benefit

I like Ratigan ... he blames Bush, he blames banks, he blames bad trade agreements, be blames rising health care costs, he blames the military-industrial complex, etc., for our economic woes.

If you want a total, one hundred percent pro-Obama, pro-Democratic analysis of the economy, then, yup, you're going to be disappointed in Ratigan's show.

But if you want a pretty no-nonsense, progressive look at the economy, then Ratigan is a breath of fresh air.

9. I don't see where he is progressive, not when he doesn't support the middle class
much less the poor.

12. Well, you must have missed ...
... the last part of his show.

The part where he took the pro-union, anti-NAFTA, progressive side on so-called 'free trade' agreements.

Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 08:42 PM by KoKo
Dylan is a "good guy" and wears the "white hat."

I'm thinking this is the "Throw 'Em Under the Bush Crowd" who are after any voice that speaks up against banksters except their own "hand picks."

Amazing that Reverend Al Sharpton is the new LOVE of the "Throw 'Em Under the Bus Crowd."

8. There are other reasons for the deficit
bushs Iraq war costing 1 trillion dollars more or less not paid for, bushs medicare drug program costing 600 billion dollars more or less not paid for, the recession costing who knows what in lost tax revenue and bushs tax cuts 4 trillion dollars more or less is just one more reason the biggest reason, true enough.

4. You do know that Ratigan is a media whore who used to praise BushCo on CNBC, right?
But since it's more profitable to his career, now he's gone from a wingnut cheerleader to a self-admitted conservative who insists he's an "independent".

5. Now he's got a clown implying pushing companies going overseas because
of unions and "it's cheaper there" and poor companies don't know what regulations are going to happen... so that is their excuse not to hire.

Regulations they can break as they do now, business as usual.

NO empathy for US workers... they'd just as happy ship it all to Asia.

17. You expect people to believe you because many here don't watch financial news?
Obviously you might have been passed a "talking point" or perhaps you have passed by Bloomberg and CNBC...and picked up some stuff you couldn't make sense of.

You are wrong about Dylan...but, then...he's the next on the list after Krugman, Greenwald, Hamsher, Cenk, Schultz and I'm sure others on your "hit list."

Have you no Shame, Mr. ClarkUSA?

It's common knowledge that Dylan Ratigan was a CNBC star who transitioned to being a Joe Scarborough darling before getting his own show.

You may approve of his conservative politics, but I don't.

Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 09:09 PM by ClarkUSA
"no Shame" indeed. :sarcasm:

I have nothing to be ashamed of. I am a real liberal who hews to Democratic principles which don't include cheering on known conservatives who push a GOP agenda on their TV shows.

22. Dylan Ratigan criticized Obama once... now he's on ClarkUSA's shit list forever.
Such is the way of the world for some of these people.

I think Ratigan is one of the more interesting people on cable news nowadays - he's definitely different from the rest.

And he certainly isn't a Tea Party conservative.

Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 09:37 PM by ClarkUSA
Dylan Ratigan knew what he exactly was saying and was clearly proud of being a conservative (after all those years of defending BushCo on CNBC, he could hardly deny the fact). There's good reason why he's on my "shit list". I detested him before Obama ever ran for President.

But now you know why he attacks President Obama's policies so much.

That's what you're dealing with. That's nothing to defend.
