Cartoon from 99 years ago nails it.
This cartoon was made one year before the formation of the Federal Reserve (1913) and it was absolutely spot on.

Total control.

6. It was amazing to find out that one of the reasons that the Fed Reserve and
The Income Tax was approved by voters had to do with the connections to ending alcoholism via Prohibition.

A whole ten minutes of Ken Burns "Prohibition" talks about the connection.

Anyway thank you for that cartoon.

8. Um
It's not so much common knowledge these days, but the octopus metaphor with regard to banking is a very old anti-semitic attack. It was a code for those in the know to perpetuate the old Baron von Rothschild/compound interest conspiracy theory. I am NOT accusing you or anyone else of anti-semitism. I just don't want anyone to get caught with their pants down on this particular issue.

9. Would you prefer a vampire squid ala Goldman?
Rothchild and the other Grand Ol' Robber Barons got Aldrich and others to do their dirty work for them. It worked perhaps better than they hoped, minus the delay caused by FDR's attempts to fix the system.

That said, racism was an integral part of our country for a LONG time. NINA, for instance. There's not really a way to look at our past without seeing it all over.
