Is there a way to add a Widget to a post?

A real widget, an image that updates on its own when the data it holds changes.

Can we do this?

If we can't because it's not something you want to have on DU, but it is possible, could you send me a PM with a link or details on how to do this?

We're trying to do this for Wishadoo.

1. You can remote-link any image.

Just post the URL of the image into your post, and it should appear.

I'm speaking of a web widget, one that updates on its own occasionally. Usually you have to use HTML code to build the widget using javascript.

Example:

The following widget would update automatically in a post whenever the data changes:

3. If the filename of the image stays the same, then it will work.

But if you need to embed some code into your post, it won't.
