Below is a copy of what I posted in the Lounge:

I've been here a long time and if have seen some pretty nasty posters come and go. Someone nearest and dearest to me was Ts'ed awhile back and for good reason. But MFM has never, never been mean spirited, never cruel. I have thoroughly enjoyed his posts and look foreward to them everyday. Based on his track record here, I think he meant no harm and should be reinstated by the Administrators. Also, I think the Administrators should take into consideration MFM's recent harrowing medical experience. I expect, although don't know for sure, that MFM is still laid up and pretty resitricted in his activities. I suspect that DU has been an important life line for him...actually, I don't just suspect that, I'm sure it has. When people are recovering from life threatening events, among all the other things they deal with, depression is a big challenge. MFM keeps my spirits up on a daily basis and I think the support he has received here keeps his spirits up also. Administrators, please don't take this away from him. We here at DU are all the better for his continued presence.

1. If you really want him back, here's some advice:

It really isn't helpful for several people to stop into the ATA forum and plead his case. Because the more times I have to publicly repeat myself, the harder it becomes to overturn myself. Forcing me to dig my heels in deeper is not helpful.

2. I'm sorry, Skinner. I just thought that was what ATA was for. n/t
