Mods. giving feedback in the edit feature
Edited on Tue Oct-25-11 05:51 AM by JCMach1
I just had an occurrence where mods flagged a multiple source post as violating copyright without any specific feedback.

Just a suggestion for Mods. to please give feedback if they feel there is a problem and SPECIFICALLY point out what the issue is.

For example if they are intending to count quotes that are visually separated from paragraphs as another true paragraph, they really should let us know.

I have been here since the beginning and this is the first time I have had any major miff with what a moderator has done.

the thread was here http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=2179901&mesg_id=2180137

1. I agree that it is helpful for moderators to give specific feedback.
FWIW, we are going to be handling copyright enforcement in a completely different way when we move into our new software. The current approach has not worked as well as we'd hoped.
