Anyone getting tired of the bin Laden death coverage yet?
Edited on Thu May-05-11 10:50 AM by quinnox
Christ, I knew this was going to happen. They are going to drag this thing out as long as they can for ratings purposes.

All the somber symbolism is getting to me. I can just imagine all the sheep eating this stuff up. Gosh, I'm feeling all tingly inside!

Is this going to end up being a month long "somber celebration" before the media stops pumping this for ratings?
Any bets on when the bin Laden story will finally no longer be the featured story? A week, two weeks? A month?

2. The saturation has me turning to doing other things
I'm thankful that very warm weather is coming here this weekend. Meantime, I've been watching more movies and have a few library books handy. But thank goodness I've been able to avoid housework! :-/

3. It's easy to avoid it on TV; just don't watch. Here on DU it seems to be equally hard to avoid and
I like spending time here. :)

8. I think the Republicans would agree.....
the quicker this is off the air, the better for them.
We wouldn't want to see Democrats depicted
as strong and competent for too long.

Of course, it doesn't matter if we had Bush held up as a hero for months on in
by this media. The heroic act of holding a bullhorn and talking shit in it
is always more newsworthy and captivating. :eyes:

11. Till 2012 would be fine with me.....
I'm interested in Progress, and we can't get there with a Republican House,
or a Republican anything else. That's why I've posted here since 2003.....
not for any other reason....cause I already know that complaining on the Internet
day after day, months on in, ain't gonna do shit to actually advance my realistic goals.
