Luke Scott: 'Obama's Birth Certificate Has Yet To Be Validated'


Even though the White House released President Obama's birth certificate last week, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Luke Scott still isn't sure he was born in America.

Scott, who said in December that he does not believe the president was born in America, questioned the validity of Obama's birth certificate to Sam Mellinger of the Kansas City Star on Tuesday.

"(President Obama's) birth certificate has yet to be validated," Scott said. "If they can counterfeit $100 bills, I think it's a million times easier to counterfeit a birth certificate, if you ask me. So, all it is, let's just see if it's real. Anybody can produce a document, so let's check it out."

According to the report, an Orioles employee witnessed Mellinger talking to Scott and said that the organization doesn't support his views.

that anyone who disagreed with Obama was a racist. Then he started pissing off the left. Now it's repubs/baggers/birthers who disagree with him are racists. It may not be logical, but it's quite simple.

It really pisses me off, because the word loses it's meaning when it's used so casually. I have no idea if Luke Scott is racist. Being a birther makes him a nut, but not necessarily a racist.

In this case he's certainly entitled to his opinion and he's entitled to speak it and if I were from Baltimore, I would be entitled to refrain from purchasing tickets to the game or Tee-shirts or whatever until this asshole leaves. And this is EXACTLY what many of us did with the Philadelphia Eagles when they hired Vick - and let them know in no uncertain teerms that lifelong fans were not interested in the sponsors or the team until the dog-torturer/killer and "coach" Reid were gone...
