Did you ever wonder why Newt Gingrich is a first rate prick?
So Newt now thinks he's going to be president? He's walked away from two wives already, one on her deathbed. And yet, the fanatical "religious" right in this country continues to think he's some kind of saint.

If nothing else, this should tell us more about the religious right than it does about Gingrich. Yet, the fact that any sane human being could still take Gingrich as a serious presidential candidate is beyond disturbing.

It says that there are people in this country who don't give a shit if their candidate is a horrible toad. It says that the religious right will vote for any son-of-a-bitch who pretends to share their agenda.

And most of all, it says that the religious right would vote for Jack the Ripper if they perceived him to be "one of them."

And if you disagree with me? Show me where I'm wrong.

4. I don't disagree...
But I've come to find out over the last couple of years that the religious right are not alone in following a leader blindly.

5. some republican compared him to Richard Nixon on MSNBC
as if it were a good thing.

Cenk laughed and said, I don't think you're helping Newt with that comparison.

7. But the republicans love him because he sends coded messages about the Kenyan in the White House
He knows he can't just throw a white sheet over his head and cal President Obama a n*gg*r, even though we KNOW he would LOVE to do that, so he sends out these little "coded" messages about his being the "Food Stamp President," which, in Newt-speak, means "The N*gg*r In The Oval Office," and the Republicans LOVE him for it, because they all think Obama is a n*gg*r too.

It's really quite simple, once you break it down. They want a fat-assed, corrupt, middle-aged white guy in the Oval Office. Newt meets the qualifications.

10. It's called tribalism. It's why DUers who say Romney's gonna lose votes for being Mormon are wrong.
Most of these people don't care about substance, or policy, or theology; they care about which side of the fence you're sitting on. They care about what you say, not what you do.

11. He's an unprincipled, hypocritical opportunist.
So he does reflect Republican values as defined today. On the grifter scale, he stands without peers - Sarah Palin could take lessons from this clown.

12. Methinks Newtie is a 67 year old body with a 13 year old personality
and a spoiled 13 year old at that.
He is the most obnoxious thing in the world a spoiled brat of a teen age boy.

14. I saw him once.
I kayaked by him on the Russian River and he was standing on the beach at Bohemian Grove.
In a t-shirt, shorts and tennies, I recognized his big ol' block head right away.

It was disappointing, and annoying. I realized that I better not make any threatening moves, because somebody probably had a bead on me and all for that schmuck.

The B.G. season is very soon and all you DUers are invited to Guerneville, Monte Rio, And all of our many fine campgrounds. We can all float by together.

16. If I went by the title of this thread only
"Did you ever wonder why Newt Gingrich is a first rate prick?"

I would have to reply that the amount of practise his prick gets with wives, girlfriends - and possibly many unknown others - must have some beneficial effect

20. The scariest thing in the world is that there might be enough insane
people to put him in the White House.

I, for one, would want to see an original of his birth certificate. After all, the Constitution implies that you have to be born on Earth.

24. his brain was two sizes too small
:D

The Gingrinch loathed voting, the whole campaign season!
Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be his head wasn't screwed on just right.
It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all,
May have been that his brain was two sizes too small.

25. Maybe it gives cronfirmation to the notion
that in America we have a representational form of government--we choose people who are LIKE US to represent us in government.

So if there are people who like Newt maybe it's because there are lots of our fellow Americans who are mirror images of this piece of feces.
