1. Interesting
There have been internet conservatives babbling about how Rolling Thunder was going to provide security for her.

2. Why does she hate veterans so much?
An uninvited guest tries to turn a veterans event into a party to celebrate herself. Disgraceful.

3. She's a grifter
Anything to get her attention and money, that's all she cares about, much like every other Republican.

6. I like this exchange...
...starting at the two-minute mark:

Ted Shpak: "We're here for a reason, and in a way this has been taking away from the reason we're here."

Andrea Mitchell: "So you think it's a distraction? I don't want to put words in your mouth, but--"

Ted Shpak: "No, you don't have to put words in my mouth. It is a big distraction, because my phone's been ringing off the hook ever since she did that--she announced that--and you know, we're not political. This is not a political event."

...later...

Ted Shpak: "The way it came out, she's saying we endorsed her. We're not endorsing anybody, and she's not speaking on our stage during our program."

8. It's an open event, anyone can ride in it that's not the point
Edited on Fri May-27-11 04:29 PM by K8-EEE
What it is NOT is the kickoff of her tacky bus tour and that's how she was portraying it. The Freepers were acting like it was the Sarah Palin Rolling ThunderPalooza.....if she had any class she would have just showed up and ridden like anybody else and THEN started PalinPalooza.

9. Glad to hear this.
Palin wants to cultivate an image that needs these type's of groups to play along. Glad to read that these folks are going to let the Queen Grifter hi-jack their organization as a vehicle for her political purposes.

10. How rude. You don't announce you are participating in this event. It is an open event.
If Sarah Palin or anybody else wants to participate in Rolling Thunder she can get on a motorcycle and proceed to one of the assembly sites. You certainly don't show up in a bus. Who the hell does she think she is? This is a MAJOR mistake on her part.
