Amy, Chelsea, Bush Twins, Obama Girls, Bristol/Willow/Piper.....
I can see the FOX Reality shows now:

"Bristol and the Babies"
"No Fags for Willow"
and of course
"Piper's Sleepover at the Whitehouse" (with special guest stars: "Uncle Glenn Beck", Rand Paul and Michelle Bachmann).

Dear God, Please don't let that woman anywhere near the White House. She will sell it out in a minute.

4. And LBJ's two daughters
have a total of seven daughters and only one son between them.

On the other hand, I have a cousin who has three daughters and five grandsons. Interesting flip-flop there.

5. Seems not quite a genetic trait then. Still it is interesting.

9. Even though we all clearly understand
the X and Y chromosomes, and that in humans it the gender determination comes from the sperm (the male), it appears that tendencies to have mainly male or mainly female children do run in families. Where males predominate, it seems the men produce a larger portion of Y-bearing sperm than they do the X-bearing ones. Where females predominate, it seems as though the women's eggs tend to fertilize best or preferentially with Y bearing sperm.

Several years ago I read an entire book on the topic. Can't recall name or author, but it was fascinating.

The cousin I referred to in an earlier post is supposed to have been the first girl born into the family in something like seven generations. Since her birth, there has been pretty much a parity of males to females in the family. This is on my father's side.

10. Interesting topic. My wife has three sisters and no brothers.
Family tends largely to girls every other generation.

8. I have to sleep or I'd check this list, looks like Carter has a family of boys:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_children_of_the_Presidents_of_the_United_States

Someone could probably run down the list and see what the breakdown is, would be interesting anyway (if anyone does throw an edit in there!). :hi:
