Christie for President? Not a chance, but not for the obvious reasons...
This guy can't walk 100 yards - we know that since he had a tinted-glass limo drive him from the helicopter(!) to the ball field. Fact of the matter is that he is morbidly obese and the stress and strain from a national campaign would literally take the life out of him. He probably already has an insufficiency and an enlarged heart...can you imagine the annual medical report on him:

President Christie, although tipping the scales just over 450 pounds, is in excellent health. His blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides are normal, and no pathology was found during the examination and review of systems. The President reports to be feeling "fine" and exercising regularly; he realizes that he is somewhat overweight but stresses that many Americans are as well and he represents them in the White House. There is no reason in the opinions of the physicians examining him that he cannot fulfill his duties as President and Commander-in-Chief. As concerned physicians, we emphatically state that the above is true, and that we would wish that our families would be released from that "resort" in Afghanistan.

1. agreed. They just canned a principal here who can't walk from the
office to the nearest classroom. Don't feel too bad though. She has alzheimers and had it for years but they covered it up.

3. He's at least that...and if we talk about him enough around here
he could also contract a venereal disease.

4. How 'bout Ron Christie?
He's probably as good a candidate as the republicans can find.

6. America will not elect a person who is grossly overweight. Such
a condition might be hereditary or no fault of the individual but too many Americans would view him as a slob who could have done something about the problem.

13. i thought about that too but then looked around me and realized that he probably
represents the majority of Americans who are now overweight, eating junk food
and that more people would actually identify with him than a smart fit biracial man who has a Nazi wife harping on the fact people need to 'eat right' and exercise more

Most folks do not want to hear that here in USA.

I say do not laugh about him

The same thing I said about the teabaggers when they showed up .
Now they are in congress ( not a laughing matter IMO)

And he could wind up in the White House

14. Our heaviest President, Taft
was a mere 320, and they had to make a special bathtub for him in the White House.

15. Health Concerns Would be Appropriate Concern
I remember reading that he uses an inhaler and has respiratory difficulties. That might explain why he didn't walk the 100 yards to the baseball field. I believe it's health concerns that would keep him from getting in the race and not that he wants to finish his term as governor. He is not popular at home and that likely won't change. Why republicans think he would be a viable candidate boggles the mind when he probably couldn't even win his home state.

18. Lazy Not Sick
I think Christie walking that 100 yards shows that he just lazy not sick. However, being lazy would indeed prevent him from being elected president. I have thought Christie could not be elected President since he refused to return to New Jersey during a snow storm. I thought the American people would not elect a guy who refused to return to do his job during a major event. The American people have already experienced that and did not seem to want another President refusing to return from vacation during a major event.
