Madison - Starting Saturday evening, and continuing for as many as 17 days, streets near the Capitol Square may begin to look more like Woodstock.
We Are Wisconsin, along with a variety of other pro-union groups, are organizing a "tent city" with protesters expected to camp out near the Capitol during the state budget proceedings.
We Are Wisconsin filed a permit with the city of Madison this week to occupy Mifflin St. and Carroll St. on the Capitol Square, along with performance space at the top of State St.
Members of the pro-union group will meet Friday morning with the Madison Street Use Committee to hammer out a compromise over the proposed 17-day campout.

The action near the Capitol will begin the evening of Saturday, June 4, at 7 p.m. and will continue throughout the state budget process. Each day will focus on one area that will be harmed by the governor's extreme budget.
