Blood from a Democrat

So today I was at work and admitting a patient. On the admission form in 2 places it asks if the patient has an objection to receiving a blood transfusion. They put this on the form to screen those that object to transfusions on religious grounds and that way we can get a release signed and give them "No Blood" bracelets.

Well this guy tells me sure, no objection, so long as it's not from a Democrat.

At first I say "I don't think they screen for that." Then something got a hold of me and I added "Of course, Democrats are probably the only ones who would be willing to give it to you, that other group will just tell you to grow your own."

Heh heh.

1. Good! EVERY time we get an opportunity to spread truth serum on some poor

gullible Pox Noise or limbaugh believer (probably because those are their only sources of information), that's one point for reason, logic, truth, and of course, us Dems/liberals.

I don't think your quip is far from the truth, IMHO. Between paranoid fears of AIDS and their general lack of sympathy for the problems of others, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if more blood is donated by Democrats than from the Right.

8. This isn't the first time I heard this.

So I had it saved up for "next time."

While we are in upstate NY, there is no progressive radio. The main local talk station here plays Beck, Limbaugh, Reith (a local guy) and I think Hannity or Savage-- not sure of the current line up. So you have many middle class people who really don't like the Republican policies (they want the wealthy taxed more and want the wars ended) but also hate poor people and anyone different, think that union workers don't deserve a pension etc. They watch Fox news and think OReilly is fair and centrist.

Then we have the very active Democrats, the Leftists, Greens and Socialists.....
