Owner of searched home is hot, hot, HOT over the hoax. They tried calling the sheriff's department while this was going on and no one would talk to them. Sheriff's dept. had his phone number from the attempted suicide of his daughter's boyfriend the week before. Jeepers.

1. I hope they sue the ever loving shit out of that police department.
What they did was so blatantly illegal and unethical that it boggles the mind.

I live with this sort of crap everyday.

eta: My dad tried to contact me on the same phone number I've had for 2 years and he reached a guy named Mike... who professed he was with "my" answering service.

4. To be fair...
To be fair, if the sheriff's department gets a call reporting 30 bodies of children somewhere, and they go there and see blood stains and a smell of decomposition, then there probably should be some investigation. Even if the tip is made by a loony "psychic", such tips ought to be at least followed through and checked up on.

Of course, when found to be completely unfounded, the person making the tip should be prosecuted.

5. Herein lies the problem...there was report filed at this house, with a telelphone
number (the cell phone) to reach the owner at any time during the investigation. A report had recently been filed over an attempted suicide at the house. The blood found on the porch could have been traced to that and the whole thing could have been handled. Homeowner has a right to be pissed when you call because a bunch of friends and reporters are calling, and the sheriff's dept won't speak with you.

7. I agree.
I agree that it seems weird that the Sheriff's department would not speak with him.

6. How many police departments even ASK a judge for a search warrant based on a psychic's report?
And how many of those are in Texas...

8. Don't know if being "psychic" has anything to do with it.
Lunatic or no, even if a looney-tunes calls in and reports the bodies of 30 people someplace you should at least go check it out. Maybe especially of a looney-tunes calls it in - maybe they were involved!
