State of the Nation: epitomized in a small town bank robbery.

Man hands robbery note to teller and sits down until cops arrive

GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) - Police are investigating a robbery which occurred at a bank in Gastonia Thursday afternoon in which the suspect sat down and waited for cops to arrive.

According to the Gastonia Police Department, the man handed a teller a note saying 'This is a bank robbery and I need medical attention.' The man then sat down and waited for police to arrive.

When officers arrived, they took the man into custody. He did not have a weapon and no charges had been filed as of 2:30 p.m.
