After The Supreme Court Ruling In WI: 'Hands Around the Capitol: We Shall Overcome' (Video)
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbzuNpsrC0I

This hits home a bit for me...

I have a Black BFF at work who teasingly asked me as the economy tanked in 2008 and 2009...

"Are your people gonna be alright, honey ?" She asked with a wink and a smile.

I gave her a ration of shit, and we laughed our asses off for several minutes...

But I know what she meant...

It wasn't so much a "Welcome to being the New N******, as it was a helping hand on how to live poor and disrespected, when all your life you didn't intend, and hadn't prepared, to be poor and direspected.

We SHALL Overcome !!!

3. Looks kind of weak and defeatist to me
Kind of like the Left's fetish for candlelight vigils.

Doesn't exactly inspire fear in the other side.

The unions made a terrible error in not calling for a general strike back when it would have meant something.

4. And there you go..............

If you put all your eggs in the bourgeoisie "electoral" basket, you won't scare anybody with a lot of money. Like the Kochs. A general strike however, especially a militant one, just might.

What it boils down to is that nothing has changed. And even if you recall enough of those Republican senators and with electoral fraud like Waukesha County happening the recalls are NOT a sure thing, the BEST that will happen is to stop the bleeding. Or maybe a better old saw would be "Lock the barn door after the horse has left." You won't be able to change ANYTHING back to the way it was.

5. Yeah... Jesus Wasn't The Warrior Messiah And They Killed Him For That...
Or... maybe they killed him because a peaceful Messiah was way more dangerous...

Later, people followed the peaceful/non-violent teachings of Jesus...

People like Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr... who were also killed.

Yet they changed the world, as did Jesus.

So I guess they DID inspire fear on the other side after all.
