1. Remember when "imported" used to mean specialty, luxury and quality? Now when you look at catalogs,
you can be sure that "Imported" means made in China or some other country with no labor standards; if a company is proud of where the product is from, they'll tell you.

4. Nothing says "freedom" quite like
a pit bull wandering around the neighborhood wearing a U.S. flag neck scarf. That was yesterday.

9. My mother-in-law gave me one very similar to this.
I never use it. I prefer to fly the flag. Not sit on it.

I haven't checked, but I'd wager it's made in China.

12. +10
I remember seeing a flattened empty old box of corn flakes on the curb sporting a large American flag, covered in mud. Nice image.

13. So, putting your sweaty ass on the flag while you swill beer makes you patriotic?
Who knew?

In the 1980’s, our first toll-free telephone number and seasonal catalogs brought continued growth. As the Internet grew in popularity in the late 1990’s, we found a new way to reach its ever-growing number of customers. Today, the company continues to serve customers through colorful catalogs and the Internet. While importing the cheapest fucking junk in the world.

I called them, asked them if anything they sell things made in America, and the girl said "I think some things, but most are imported" and when I asked what things, she said she just didn't know and would have to get back to me if I left my number.

17. I'm not sure why that chair is considered "patriotic"; the stripes and stars design
doesn't automatically make it patriotic (as we well know).
