The Rev. Everett Reynolds, a tireless civil rights advocate in Omaha, has died.
Reynolds, who led the Omaha chapter of the NAACP for a decade ending in 2004, died in his home Thursday. He was 83 and had battled cancer.
Reynolds served as pastor at Lefler United Methodist Church, a small congregation in south Omaha. His funeral will be at noon Saturday at the larger Clair Memorial United Methodist Church, 5544 Ames Ave.
