Dem congressional candidates are running on defending Social Security and Medicare
If Obama agrees to cuts, kiss their campaigns goodbye.

https://www.upwardstech.net/cloughforcongress

On July 30th, 1965 Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare into law. At the bill-signing ceremony, Johnson enrolled former President Harry S. Truman as the first Medicare beneficiary and presented him with the first Medicare card, and Truman's wife Bess, the second. For 46 years, our nation has made, and kept, a promise to our seniors. A sacred trust that in our golden years, after a lifetime of labor, we need not fear the threat of slipping into poverty and losing the American dream.

We Democrats understand this promise. We created it, and we've fought to keep the promise, despite Republicans constant attacks for nearly five decades.I

n April our Representative, Richard Hastings, voted for the Paul Ryan budget plan, which eliminated Medicare, turned it into a voucher program, and shifted all of the savings to the wealthiest in our nation.

It's no secret that I've steadfastly supported Medicare, and I want to give you an opportunity, to join with me, to support Medicare as well. So, on July 30th, please join me in making a statement to current and future seniors, that we have their backs. We will not back down, and we will not accept any cuts to the worlds most successful social insurance program. We will not compromise on a program that has single handedly saved generations of seniors from slipping into poverty in their golden years. My good friend, Doug McKinley, has graciously invited you and I to his home at 1160 Foxtrot lane, Richland, WA. from 6-8pm. The suggested donation is $250. This money will go to my campaign to unseat Rep. Hastings in November 2012.

So, please Join me in a birthday party, of sorts, for a program that has helped our seniors live fulfilling and independent lives for generations. Let's show this district who really supports middle class programs and middle class values.

If you can't make it to the event, I still need your help. I hope you'll consider visiting my site and making a donation of $50, $100, $250, or what ever you can afford. Every dollar goes to helping defeat Rep. Hastings, and securing the future of the middle class in our District, our State, and our Nation.

In Solidarity,
Jay Clough (D)
Endorsed Candidate
US Congress
WA-4th CD

2. the DNC will be out to get candidates who don't fall in line.
the candidates who win in the primaries will be those who can get the most corporate money and DNC support.

6. They don't give a shit about red congressional districts
Jay could surprise them with a rerun of NY26--that is if the national party would get behind defending Social Security and Medicare.
