It is all about Harmonic Balance.

One side of the Anglo Empire is busy pretending that there isn't a crisis of astounding proportions, the
other side is off inventing one.

Cameron et al are pretending that the British Government hasn't been pwned by Murdoch for the last 30 years while their partners in crime in Washington are doing their best to push a frail economy off a steep cliff with a 'debt crisis' that exists only in their imaginations.
