Boehner and Pelosi can get their majority from the rest of the House.


435-180 = 255.


They need to get 218 of the 255 that aren't teabaggers or CBC/PC members.

4. My math is a little diffeent: 52 tea baggers (from their web-site)

and a bit more than 100 members of the two caucuses that oppose the bill (Black and Progressive). That still leaves them room enough to get a majority, I think. If there are other defections, though, things could get interesting.
