F**K
Sorry. Just a visceral response watching the news and digesting what has been happening -- politically and economically -- and what is likely to happen.

1. I know
I am on pins and needles waiting to see what is going to happen. We are bumping up against finite resources so can't come out of it like we did during the last depression and this is global in scope.

15. Thanks, I am finding it fascinating reading
I like this quote from WW1.
“We are unsettled to the very roots of our being. There isn’t a human relation, whether of parent or child, husband and wife, worker and employer, that doesn’t move in a strange situation. We are not used to a complicated civilization, we don’t know how to behave when personal contact and eternal authority have disappeared. There are no precedents to guide us, no wisdom that was not meant for a simpler age.”

7. Yeah, I've been thinking the same, F**K. It pretty well sums it
all up. I'm getting so each morning when I wake up I just say F**K and turn on the news. And then I say WTF. Frankly, I have some pretty F'ed up days. Tomorrow will be no different.

9. I'm thinking turning on the TV is the first mistake..
Best mental survival technique might just be to tune it all out, and just stay focused on daily, personal life, and hope the bigger realities don;t intrude.

10. I often feel like I'm being sweep along by a huge tidal wave swimming like hell
to stay afloat. Some days I think Timothy Leary was so right.

"My advice to people today is as follows: if you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out."

11. I think the real answer is apathy.....But giving a shit is an addiction.
As you can tell, I'm feeling rather cynical right now.

The best I can hope for is that the little business I work for can stay afloat. The rest is too cosmic to contemplate.

....But I'm sure I'll keep contemplating.
