Here's a great idea. Stop using Tea Party and substitute Tory Party.
The Tory's supported the British against the real Tea Party. The real Tea Party revolted against the big corporation East India Company while the so-called Tea Party is backed by huge corporations.

Join with me an call them the Tory Party from now on.

2. I'll go for that. Very appropriate.
I've been calling them Tbaggers (T for terrorist), but I'll definitely make the switch.

5. I just call them Tea Bag people and tea bag party
they called themselves teabaggers first.. I changed it a bit to make it less objectionable, but since they insist on saying democrat-party, they cannot really complain, now can they?

11. They are the one's who introduced the 'Tea Bag' imagery ....
Remind your friends that the hyper right wingers were the first to introduce the 'Tea Bagger' nomenclature to the regular discourse .... It's their own petard .....

12. I have reminded as much as I can. The blog is run by a newspaper and they threatened to ban me
if I continued to use Tea Bagger. There is no explaining to them.

8. No.
They're still "teabaggers". Just roll with it, and don't try to invent any more memes, OK?

10. Any reference to 'Tea Party' now carries a distinctive stench of treason ...
A willingness to subjugate the whole nation to their minority whim by OPENLY threatening it's stability ....

The negatives associated with the term 'Tea Party' would demand we keep it around, and hang it around some GOP, Conservative, Tory neck ....

I am baffled why Dems would want to just give that gem away .... Use it as a cudgel to whack the TeaVangelists whenever you can ....

They ARE a threatening bunch ...

14. They like to be called the Tea Party. Why should we cater to their wishes. They are Turncoat Tories.

15. They're not an actual political party.
They're an extreme faction of the Republican Party. We risk making their movement seem more legitimate and making the Republican mainstream seem moderate and non-threatening if we give them special recognition. If people are upset with the Tea Party faction, they should be upset with the Republican party of which that group is a part.
