Juanita Jean on Rick Perry!
Edited on Wed Aug-10-11 06:08 AM by Tennessee Gal
The Austin American Statesman, who reads Politico, has some fun, fun, funny news.

Gov. Rick Perry will make it clear that he’s running for president during a Saturday speech in South Carolina, a Perry source said today.

Politico first reported that Perry will make his intentions clear during a speech at the RedState conservative gathering. It will be his first trip to an early-primary state.

Okay, so here’s a guy who refused to debate his last opponent, refused to speak with newspaper editors, refused to take unscreened questions, and is announcing for President at a private function.

Is Katie Couric anywhere around?

Y’all, I’m telling you – he’s Elmer Gantry. He’s a snake oil salesman.

But, the upside is this. When Time Magazine does a cover for him, all they’ll have to change is the picture.

2. JuanitaJean!! I love this line:
"My friend Kary says a better comparison with Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann is that they both like to have sex with gay men."

Priceless.

He’s Everywhere! He’s Everywhere!

August 09, 2011

Rick Perry is all over the place this morning.

First off, he’s headline news at Salon. The headline? “If Rick Perry is seriously a presidential front-runner there’s something wrong with all of us.”

Ya think?

Comparing him to Bachmann, Salon writes,

"The GOP 'establishment' prefers this evangelical nitwit with fringe tendencies to that evangelical nitwit with fringe tendencies, sure. This Dominionist purposefully evoking some of the most radical far-right movements and ideas of the last 200 years is so much more electable than this other one!"

I mean, Rick Perry may be a neo-Confederate sympathizer with a recurring tendency to bring up secession, but he doesn’t look as weird in a photograph as Bachmann does, I guess.

My friend Kary says a better comparison with Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann is that they both like to have sex with gay men.

Which brings us to the latest inside the campaign leak from Rick Perry.

"Texas Governor Rick Perry’s camp is prepared to tackle what they say are unfounded rumors dating back to as early as 2004 about the Lone Star State Republican’s personal life should he run for president and the allegations resurface"

That’s gonna take some stompin’, Rick.
