Why don't we have exit polls anymore? They were the canary in the Coal mine.
Particularly with electronic voting, what real verification do we have?

You Must ask yourself this question!

1. I started a media outlet that's now fairly large in our region. How do we do an exit poll?
I'd like info on the most appropriate and scientific ways to conduct an exit poll for key races in our area next election.

5. "we" do still have exit polls
Edited on Wed Aug-10-11 04:53 PM by OnTheOtherHand
They're generally fielded in federal elections, not in special elections.*

Particularly with electronic voting, what real verification do we have?

Well, most Wisconsin voters used hand-marked paper ballots, so you might take an interest in those.

*ETA: I worded that poorly; the major-network exit polls usually are for federal general elections every two years, plus the presidential primaries.

6. It saves them the trouble of having to change them in the middle of the night.
Like they did in Ohio in 2004. It just makes it easier to rig the results.

7. Where in Wisconsin are you, pissed in?

And why do you even bother voting if you think the elections are all hacked?

9. There you are.
The last word. Don't vote if elections are hacked. What side are you on? Why do you think your elections can't be stolen or hacked?

I agree with the PO. We need exit polls. They have consistently been the most accurate way to monitor elections in the past. I don't think things are different today.

10. Proper exit polls are important. The ones shut down in WI were not done well or properly.

17. My thoughts are that if you don't like the work they are doing,
you would replace them with competent ones. I mean getting rid of exit polling altogether is an invitation to election fraud.

Truly. When the exit polls called it for Gore and then Bush was selected, er, um, "elected" the media pretended the exit polls were faulty so they said they would never used them again.

That's the truth.

... and they don't care if voters are poisoned in the faux process of (s)electing our (sic) leaders.
