Our FRiends are all worked up about the prospects of Democracy in Libya...
I wonder how many innocents Obama and NATO have killed in their efforts to install the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda in Libya. Al Hail the Greater Caliphate. Many Americans and Israelis will die because of what Obama has done and the transfer of Libyan weapons outside of Libya.

So, the rebels actually got there? Now we can have another Taliban empire like Egypt is turning into?

Gadhafi may had been a Son of a Bitch, but George W. Bush made him OUR Son of a Bitch.

1. If Obama made every member of freeperville an instant billionaire they
would find some way to bash him for it.

4. You needn't look as far as freeperville to find that
Some on DU are so hidebound in their hatred that they cannot bear the thought of condeding even a scintilla of credit toward the President.

19. Hillary would have made the billions tax-deductable. For the poor.
Obama just gave the money to freepers to benefit corporations.

the freepers are hypocrits, but the democrats are too, since they ran as antiwar, and used the antiwar movement to elect kerry and obama.

Libya and Syria are targets of the Neocons, as well as Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as others?

15. Not all Democrats are anti-war either.
In fact I've consciously never cast a vote for a pacifist because I think unconditional pacifism is an evil ideology.

20. "since they ran as antiwar"?
I think you might be confused.

I don't recall any anti-war Democrats. For at least 200 years.

14. Those assholes do not "own" that sentiment.
There are people who have been living under substantial oppression for years in Libya who are thrilled at the prospect of getting Moo-ha-mar and his thuggy family and friends out of power.

They do not have all that much oil, you know....but years ago, we had excellent relations with them. We even had a USAF base there.

Naturally, our ideologically consistent FRiends would be applauding if the Department of State had cultivated a diplomatic relationship with Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaida instead of finishing the job.

If we had designated an ambassador to Al-Qaida as Bush did with the Libyan government they'd just say he was our "son of bitch" now ... right?

:sarcasm:

Some kind of gear jam in the conservative brain lets them contradict themselves time and time again. They just go on like nothing happened.

17. I found the following post interesting:
Obama went over there a few years ago and gave a speech - that speech has led to all of this. All of these countries rose up and took back their countries.

OBama is to blame

The real question is whether or not this is a good or bad movement.

Obama promised CHANGE

Perhaps he meant change to the Middle East and Africa. Dramatic change has been unfolding.

All of this is not by accident.

Perhaps Obama’s legacy will be this - the middle east.

What happens with Syria will be the next question. Then the Palestinians. They see this AS THEIR CHANCE for get freedom, as well

Massive protests in the coming months around the world.

You ain’t seen nothing yet.

Obama is either a genius or a fool. Can’t quite figure out which - not yet.
