A Cult of Killing
America: Where Money Trumps Peace™

Where "Commercial interests are very powerful interests."

Where death of a despot or the death of an innocent child is of no consequence,
as long as it helps turn a buck for the right people.

This is not the America I know and love, a Democracy where every human life is valued.

This is someplace else entirely -- a place ruled by a Cult of Killers.

Where unnecessary, illegal, immoral and disastrous wars have become normal, our way of life.

1. Unfortunately, it's (almost) always been a place ruled by killers,
No?

Unfortunately.

What can we do more than we do now?

2. Seriously, the notion of American isolationism before World War II is a myth
Yes we weren't always the world's dominant power and thus our overseas interventions have grown drastically since we assumed that role. But we had plenty of military adventures on other continents, not to mention our own, during the 19th and first half of the 20th century.

5. Of course, and I sort of asked the question of what we can do more
now to try to change (since no actual politician will even begin to do it all by himself/herself).

Maybe when 'we' will 'try' the 'make-me-do-it' occupation in Freedom Plaza in D.C.? http://www.october2011.org

It has to 'work' somehow, and if not, what else could?

6. Incredible that in the 21st century such crime can go unpunished.
I won't "get over" the deaths of innocent people.

You heard of Big Brother?

Heartbreaking. Warmongering continues, unabated: For profit. For power. For chimpire.

Scott Horton Interviews Gareth Porter at AntiWar.com (They're on the FBI Watch List).

Aloha, mahina! Thank you very much for the kind reminder of The East West Center. The Center for Global Nonkilling also is an excellent resource. You and the good people at these and similar minded institutions are why peacemongers will win.
