Which of the following inevitable and horrible occurrences do you fear MOST?
Which one do you really, really think will happen and there's nothing we can do about!!

1. Climate Change... and we CAN do something still
but there is seemingly no political will to address it yet.

15. I agree rosesaylavee and the longer we go without addressing it,
the more narrow our choice of remedies will become and the devastating climatic consequences; of which I believe we are already experiencing will only grow in both severity and frequency.

16. It's on my mind every day...
Found out this weekend that my brother, who I respect a great deal for his intellect, started to tell me the science was still out on this topic. It took all I had to deal with that answer. I think I brought him back to revisiting this opinion.

3. Climate change. Bill Maher asked the Democratic candidates
in which order the following posed a threat. Biden said 1) Global warming, 2) High Fructose Corn Syrup 3) Terrorist Attack. He was serious, and he was right.

14. Yeah, that's always bothered me a bit, some act of violence like that would
really put the US into a tailspin and probably more psychologically damaging/threatening than 911.

12. Two words ... President Perry.
He'd work to accelerate global warming ... cut fema so there can be no federal response to natural disasters ... invade the wrong country while wearing a cowboy hat, chaps and a nifty 2 gun rig ... shortly before ending social security and medicare ... followed by renaming the country from the "United States of America" to the "United State of Texas".

Terrifying.

19. I put "terrorist attack." In addition to immediate loss of life, it could kick off WWIII.
Edited on Tue Aug-23-11 03:04 PM by BlueIris
And I'm not even going to get into the other stuff swirling over the social and governmental horizon right now...like that whole pesky "Who's going to be president next?" problem.

23. obv. as a survivor of katrina i most fear the hurricanes...
global climate change comes in second

however, as far as "we can do nothing about it" that's just bullshit, yes, there will always be hurricanes, but we can have bill clinton's FEMA or we can have the bush family FEMA that left victims of andrew and katrina to die

global climate change is already happening but we can let it get worse and worse or we can start taking action

earthquakes are beyond our control, but we can stop doing stupid shit like building nuclear reactors on a shaky earthquake prone planet, if the japanese with all their talent and intelligence can't make this work, no one can, we should learn from the hard mistakes of others instead of re inventing the wheel

fate is always there ready to happen but we can try to meet fate halfway and make a better world

so i don't vote that anything is something we can do "nothing" about, i leave the "do nothing" horseshit to the george bushes of the world

24. You didn't include the Vendo
I don't much fear the Vendo, but then no one has seen any in over a thousand years.

I do worry a little that we haven't seen them in so long. What are they planning to do upon their return? They will do something soon, I'm sure.

And when they do, you will all remember that I foretold they would return.

However, I'm sure that you will all be wondering, what exactly are the Vendo and why shoud we be worried?

When the Black Mist appears and you find something eating you...you will know...

now back to your normal fears...killer bunnies!
