Corporate interests in politics will keep forcing progressives into debates we can't win unless we deal them a decisive defeat. Petition Democrats on the crucial congressional super committee to follow these 4 progressive principles.

Ensure millionaires, billionaires, and big corporations pay their fair share of debt reduction,
No cuts to Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid benefits,
No giveaways to corporate interests,
Or no deal.

It's been a while. But I will keep voting for liberal and progressive Democrats, hoping things will change.

7. Yeah, I'm sure Max Baucus will get right on that.

I love Sen Feingold. He's a Wellstone protegee and has all the right sensibilities. I think Wisconsin deserves him as Gov once they recall that Wanker. But no way is this particular super committee set up to look after progressive interests. Unlike Russ, most politicians aren't beholden to the voters, but to the Corporate lobbyists who pay for all their perks.

The only good thing you can say about Citizen's United is that maybe it'll put some of those lobbyists into the Unemployment line. Eliminate the middle man, right?
