Get money out.com Take a look at this.. It is a starting place.
Dylan Ratigan started the Getmoneyout.com petition about 2 weeks ago. It is an attempt to get corporate money out of politics with a constitutional amendment. His lobbyist is Jimmie Williams.
When I signed the petition about 2 weeks ago there were about 7,000
signatures. I think the number is now about 200,000.
The whole idea may sound a little hokey, but it's a start IMO.
If we are ever to take back some type of control of the voting system, we need to turn over every rock and try to get the special interest money out of these elections.
It takes about 20 seconds to register, Even if you don't care for Dylan, I think he is on to something. ...getmoneyout.com: evilgrin:

1. Not Dylan Ratigan. Not no-how.
Not in a million years. Dude is in bed with wingnuts and libertarians.

2. Lotsa luck with that, the procedure for making a constitutional
amendment starts with a majority in both houses and a majority of the states passing it. Since when did the various petitions we signed in the past 10 years do diddley squat? Even the huge one that was presented at the white house by members of congress who hand carried them to the gate and weren't even allowed inside the gate but had to pass the piles of paper through the white house gates.

6. It probably doesn't have a snowballs chance, but what the heck.
At this point, I'll try just about anything.

3. I've been trying to hype this around here and have gotten a few thank-yous.
It is a start, and imo the starting point of all that's evil these days (bought govt, that is ...)

4. I think we have to turn over every rock just to try and find a way out
of this mess. I am not a big fan of Dylans, but it's worth a shot..
