Lessee, OBAMA is zapped for being both pro-business and anti-business.

JOBS might have been wrong a couple or so times? Like delaying surgery for nine months?!1 Or, here, saying unions were a cause of the country's bad education system? Lessee, he insisted on getting admitted to ONE and no other college then left within a year... just saying (yeah yeah some people don't need college, him and LIMBOsevic/expert on everything).

Steve Jobs Biography: Jobs Warned Obama He'd Have 'One-Term Presidency'

By NED POTTER (@NedPotterABC)
Oct. 21, 2011

Steve Jobs, the inventive and often strong-willed co-founder of Apple, warned Barack Obama, "You're headed for a one-term presidency" during a frank 45-minute meeting last year.

Jobs' confrontation with the president is one of the many details reported by Walter Isaacson, whose 630-page authorized biography, "Steve Jobs," is scheduled for release Monday. Isaacson is scheduled to give his first live interview Monday on "Good Morning America."

Isaacson's book is being held closely by its publisher, Simon & Schuster, but copies have already been found by various news organizations.

Isaacson writes that Jobs was irritated when his wife, Laurene Powell, helped arrange the meeting with Obama at a hotel at the San Francisco airport. The president, she said, was "really psyched to meet you." Then he should personally ask, replied an angry Jobs. The standoff lasted five days before the meeting was set.

When Jobs finally relented, he did not hold back. He told Obama that the United States needed to become more business-friendly if it did not want to lose its edge. He talked about how much easier it was to build a factory in China than in the U.S., where there were too many regulations and needless costs. And he complained about the U.S. education system, saying unions protected bad teachers and kept principals from hiring good ones.

1. Yeah - Jobs sold all his Apple stock for peanuts
his $7 billion fortune came mostly from Pixar/Disney stock.

Jobs stated that he had a rare, far less aggressive type known as islet cell neuroendocrine tumor.<114> Despite his diagnosis, Jobs resisted his doctors' recommendations for mainstream medical intervention for nine months,<6> instead consuming a special alternative medicine diet in an attempt to thwart the disease. According to Harvard researcher Dr. Ramzi Amir, his choice of alternative treatment "led to an unnecessarily early death".<113[br />
According to Jobs' biographer, Walter Isaacson, "for nine months he refused to undergo surgery for his pancreatic cancer -- a decision he later regretted as his health declined."<116> "Instead, he tried a vegan diet, acupuncture, herbal remedies and other treatments he found online, and even consulted a psychic. He also was influenced by a doctor who ran a clinic that advised juice fasts, bowel cleansings and other unproven approaches, before finally having surgery in July 2004."<117> He eventually underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy (or "Whipple procedure") in July 2004 that appeared to successfully remove the tumor.<118><119><120> Jobs apparently did not receive chemotherapy or radiation therapy.<114><121> During Jobs's absence, Tim Cook, head of worldwide sales and operations at Apple, ran the company.<114>

4. I think Obama will be reelected
But he is still in his first term. I think it's going to be a long shot for the Republicans, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that he will lose. It's certainly not going to be a landslide for Obama unless there's some sort of implosion/third party debacle on the Republican side.

marketing achievement. If you buy into the notion that he was some sort of seer then you have been successfully taken in.

8. the reason he said Obama would be one term is because he didn't think Obama was pro corporate
enough.

but he still wanted to make ads for him and some other shit. i think he thought Obama would treat him more special like personally asking him to meet and other things.

18. +!....he thought Obama wasn't Libertarian enough: IOWDS Break the Unions and make US Citizens work
for Pennies. Get rid of teachers and let Arne Duncan and BushBots put in Charter Schools that are Privatized.

That was what he was going for. He was a total Authoritarian. (Doesn't mean his products aren't good...but that he "used the system" of grinding people under his boot to get those beautiful, functional products. He could have used American Workers and been worth less than the Billions he leaves behind that he couldn't spend anyway...but would have meat much in the pocket books and wallets of most Americans who are suffering today because of "offshoring" of the Top Wealthy who just love their "bank account balances" but could give a Flying Fuck about the people who work for them and the rest of the people here in the country they live in.

These "Geniuses" think they owe NOTHING TO NOBODY BUT THEIR OWN FUCKING SELVES AND THEIR EGOS!!

10. Yeah he get dumped by Apple for a reason
He was build machines no one wanted. He was a real supply sider his first time through apple. He though just because his machines were great, people would by them. The company saw shelves of computers no one was wanting... he next go around work different, apple stores, plenty of hype before release, make sure you got limited supplies long lines at first release, create a lot of demand. Somewhere between his first go around at Apple he figured out the difference between supply and demand side economics.

Last American Who Knew What The Fuck He Was Doing Dies

CUPERTINO, CA—Steve Jobs, the visionary co-founder of Apple Computers and the only American in the country who had any clue what the fuck he was doing, died Wednesday at the age of 56. "We haven't just lost a great innovator, leader, and businessman, we've literally lost the only person in this country who actually had his shit together and knew what the hell was going on," a statement from President Barack Obama read in part, adding that Jobs will be remembered both for the life-changing products he created and for the fact that he was able to sit down, think clearly, and execute his ideas—attributes he shared with no other U.S. citizen. "This is a dark time for our country, because the reality is none of the 300 million or so Americans who remain can actually get anything done or make things happen. Those days are over." Obama added that if anyone could fill the void left by Jobs it would probably be himself, but said that at this point he honestly doesn’t have the slightest notion what he’s doing anymore.

16. Jobs was a Libertarian....didn't like any rules or regulations..but was happy to have starving
Chinese make products for him for pennies while he drove them to Suicide. Apple Cult is just that...a Cult for beautiful products built on the backs of low wage workers under terrible conditions for the GLORY of the Founder!

No different from the Wall Street Crowd and the Financial Sector who caused us all to be living in the hell we are because of DEREGULATION since REAGAN!

Steve Jobs looks good as a Maverick...but the BRAND had flaws.

But smartest thing he did was the huge accumulation of cash on hand which could always bail him out. I remember one acquisition for 60 million that pretty much disintegrated into dust overnight.
