Just read that FedEx and UPS...
are no longer making deliveries to OWS. Anyone know how true that is?

2. It appears that the issue is the lack of a valid address.
If attempting to deliver to the general "1 Liberty Plaza" address without a person or business, I would bet their systems cannot do that. OWS states:

SUPPLIES
Email This e-mail address support@usdayofrage.org. or call (347) 640-0925.
Deliveries can be made to:
1 Liberty Plaza
Manhattan, NY 10006

We will provide another address when you email or call if deliveries require signature release. http://this-is-democracy.tumblr.com/

6. 1 Liberty Plaza will not work
This is the address to use:

118A Fulton st #205
New York, NY, 10038

The local UPS branch has been working with us. They are processing over 500 packages a day and giving us a serious discount. If something has changed, I don't (yet) know about it.

9. FYI: Drivers are allowed a certain amount of time to effect a delivery and they're timed internally
They can lose their routes if they take too long when they deliver.

(My son is a UPS driver. Firsthand knowledge)

10. That is what I thought it was. In fact the USPS will probably say the
same thing.

3. I would be surprised if UPS did so. I think they're
organized by the Teamsters who have endorsed the Occupy protests. IF management has, the union at UPS needs to send management a strong message.

Fed-Ex? I wouldn't doubt it at all. Non union shop in a right to screw workers state.

5. they just need to get a po box for the post office
but I think they will need a physical address for ups. The post office used to have a c/o general delivery where you could pick up mail, like if you were from out of town and had no address and such. I don't have a clue if they still provide that service, or if they do, for how long will they allow it?
Perhaps ask ups if you could pick things up from their office?
I'm sure they have many people there who would let them use their address too.

7. It's been discussed
A PO box with the USPS, that is. And we're looking into it. But the Fulton Street address is pretty widely publicized and as I mentioned in another reply, receives over 500 boxes per day so we don't want to just abandon it.
