4. Great find

As well as a very good book to read.
I've read most of Orwell's book. I would recommend any of them. I really liked Burmese Days and Keep the Aspidistra Flying. He really seemed to have a handle on the difference between the entitled rich versus the rest of us as riff-raff. He understood human nature. This quote summarizes much of what he wrote about.

He was greatly influenced by the last days of the British Empire and their outright arrogance. I would liken it to American exceptionalism.
