9. I wonder what would happen if the police were met with silence instead

of nerve wracking chanting. The yelling is unnerving, no matter what is being said.

I've notice that at least the cops I see now aren't dressed in riot gear. This is obviously deliberate.

Still. Why they are there to push the OLA out.

OLA just pulled some troublemakers back away from the police action. The audio is catching the OLA man telling the troublemaker that OLA is non-violent.

This video is excellent in what it's catching. Good for OLA to be able to study later.

So far the pacifist are prevailing. Tensions seem to have eased a little once the troublemaker was pulled back and talked to about what pacifism is.

I'm sorry I'm going to miss giving my running opinion because I have to go to work.

18. The OLA are on the sidewalk and 1st St. open to traffic

There are lots of cops on motorcycles driving back and forth on the street. There is a commentator who belongs to Occupy who is having a running commentary. He is a pacifist and he's from Oakland. He's praising the police for having their badges and names on full display. Says the only moment that was iffy was the one I mentioned above when that one OLA guy tried to get violent. I think he's the same guy who pulled the man away from the front line. I can't tell because I think he's behind the camera.

The video feed has stopped. It's off air.

I don't know what that means but there's video of a bald cop saying they arrested 4 people. Unlawful assembly is the reason. He looks sympathetic and has shaken hands with some OLAs.

I must say, so far this is going down much differently. No riot gear. Police talking to the media explaining. I'm sure this policeman is a spokesman. He has no protective gear, but that could be because he's talking to the media.

He's urging protesters to find an alternative method of protesting.

His name is Commander Smith

OLA speaker is saying "Let's recharge", literally recharge the batteries on the pacs. There's talk back and forth among the OLA. Using cell phones to touch base with each other. Lot's of speculation as to what goes next. What the police will do. What OLA will do.

LAPD now announcing they are preparing to open the street to traffic.
