Some election, soon I imagine, will be so close that both parties will claim victory and neither will concede. As I see it, it is only the lack of this type of fuse that keeps this country from blowing. Once there are diametrically opposed figureheads competing for the highest office and perceived injustices that 'threaten the nation', there will be a conflagration, since there seems to no longer be enough common ground and faith in one another to be americans before being conservative or liberal.

I wonder if this line of thinking affected Bush's selection and Kerry's forfeit.

1. Kerry said he would not investigate Ohio voter theft becuase they threatened scorched earth.
I don't think a threat of wrong should get a person to side with wrong.

Maybe there is another way to see it, but if they threaten to do that, and you give them your power by conceding to them, they just going to do it anyways in a different way.


And on a side note.

I am still due beer and travel money, so what is the point again?
