'WTF,' says Palin of President Obama's 'Win the Future' State of the Union
By Daniel Strauss - 01/27/11 09:39 AM ET

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is calling President Obama's “Win the Future” State of the Union address a "WTF speech" — referring to a different phrase.

On Fox News and on her Facebook page, the would-be GOP 2012 contender criticized Obama's Tuesday address, saying the WTF acronym “seemed more accurate than much of the content." Palin criticized what the president said about energy, tax policy and investment.

“That was another WTF moment,” Palin told Fox News on Wednesday night.

In a Facebook message posted early Thursday, Palin slammed the president's address for advocating what she called inefficiently large government. She challenged Obama's promise that a planned high-speed rail system and new solar energy research initiatives would help the economy.

1. I'm curious as to what she "thinks" would help the economy
Besides more tax cuts and massive deregulation.

Do those people even have anything else in their playbook?

3. Greed is all they know.
Why compete when we can cooperate with the other world citizens to make this planet a universally prosperous world.
No more wealthy, ruling elites. Just real people working together toward a goal of equality....

Another "classy" comeback, :sarcasm: but I'm sure she didn't come up with it all on her own. I'm betting someone on her staff came up with that oh-so-witty acronym.

13. She, Ryan and the Righties are so caught up in doom and gloom
--America is a failure--America is going to be GREECE,
of all things. They illustrate their ignorance.

My Caveat--Yes, we must work on lowering the deficit.

However, the Righties in their zealousness to make Democrats
and Obama look bad, have walked themselves into mire.

There are some realities to be faced. We are still the
richest country in the world even though we lost a hellava lot
in Wall St. Debacle brought on by RW policies.

We all deficit spend at least most of us who own homes do.
When we balance our books at the kitchen table each month
most of us are still in hock for a good sized mortgage
and often a considereable car payment. Our books are
never completely balanced.

There are some facts. Someone like Warren Buffet can
go into a bank and get a loan without much fam fare. The
Bank sees him and know he hass assets beyond the beyond.
This is good.

Likewise, just think of all the valuable assets in this
country. In Greece there was corruption and spending
of money they had no assets to back. America has assets
and similar to Buffet Ameica is going to be treated
differently.

Yes we have spent money: Supporting TWO WARS, TAXCUTS for
the Have Mosts. There is a difference in Spending.

Yes, we must tackle the deficit but trying to scare
the American people by making FALSE COMPARISONS only
hurts the party that does it.

I am sick of Leaders who compare Balancing the Nation's
Budget to my balancing my checkbook each month.
Business and Government have differenct rules and
different proceedures or tools to use. This is
such a misleading tale. We all live with deficits
and most of the time--that is a good thing. People
can afford to buy homes and cars.

15. I watched the speech, albeit with divided attention. I don't remember
the phrase "Win the Future" standing out as a slogan like "New Frontier" or "Fair Deal". Did I miss something, or did Palin's puppet masters parse the speech looking for something they could hang her next display on?
