Which is great for two reasons.

1) They don't deserve to have my money

2) My money was able to have a larger return in my HSA (although, I would have probably paid out of pocket to keep from losing the gains in the HSA)

with your health and fortunes.

And please don't bare anything very out of the ordinary.

3. Well, aren't you morally superior
As someone who's just finished dealing with both a heart attack and major surgery, I find myself rather offended by your self-congratulatory non-use of medical services.

That's what a degenerative disease looks like, add in a very unexpected medical crisis for the healthiest in the family, the one that carries the health insurance... But I wish you continued good health.

10. It does have a insurance plan with it and you can buy supplemental plans covering
catastrophic illnesses and events, still costing less than low deductable traditional insurance. Sorry but the "Jack shit" that you speak off can be done.

13. I didn't say I paid $0 for health insurance, I said I paid $0 for medical services
maybe your "shit Jack" got in the way of reading it properly. Of course you can't buy catastrophic supplemental insurance after you have a catastrophic event, I didn't say I was going to do that either, must have again been your "shit Jack."

16. so 'They don't deserve to have my money' was aimed at medical service providers, not insurers?
You have a problem with actual doctors, hospitals etc. getting money for medical services, but not with your health insurer?

18. Because not all doctors are money grubbing assholes...
Edited on Mon Dec-20-10 01:18 PM by SidDithers
just as not all mechanics, or plumbers are money-grubbing assholes.

And because money spent on preventative medicine, like an annual physical or regular dental check-ups, is a much more cost-effective way of using limited health care dollars, than doing nothing until you need major medical or dental services.

Bet you don't ever change the oil in your car either, you just wait 'till the engine seizes, then replace it. Right?

Choosing to spend $0 on health care is not something to be proud of. It's evidence of ignorance about health.

Sid

Edit: spelling

20. what's the point of this thread?
is this a solution to people's health care problems?

how does this work in a year where you have significant problems...how does it work after that?

how many hours in the emergency room will be covered by what you have in your HSA?
