Obama, National Democrats Help Mobilize State Budget Protests
Organizing for America, Obama's campaign arm now under the umbrella of the DNC, has been mobilizing union members and supporters to rally against a proposed Wisconsin budget measure that would strip workers of collective bargaining rights and force them to contribute more for benefits.

Leaders have initiated phone banks and on-the-ground canvassing, and relied on a social media blitz on Facebook and Twitter to build turnout.

DNC Chairman Tim Kaine also reportedly spoke with Wisconsin union leaders and state legislators ahead of the protests, the Huffington Post reported, signaling his direct involvement in coordinating the effort.

3. You obviously aren't a member. They were organizing phone banks, etc
during the health care town halls. As for the Wall Street bailouts...I believe that happened under BUSH!

6. Do you still call the tax cuts for the rich "Bush's Tax Cuts?"
The Obama Admin repackaged/renamed the Bush Admin bank bailout plan

9. Exactly
I am active with OFA and I WAS on the phone, on the computers, calling, logging, organizing. Because of OFA I was at our local town hall, holding signs while teabaggers FROM OTHER CITIES screamed and disrupted.

And the Healthcare law passed, a piece of history that I can and do tell my grandchildren that we were a part of, thankfully!

People need to get their account with OFA, 2012 is a-comin and we need all the help we can get!

:)

10. OFA during Health care reform....
Health care reform

On October 20, 2009, OFA hosted a national phone bank event intended to encourage elected federal officials to support Obama's healthcare proposals. A stated goal of achieving 100,000 phone calls was exceeded, with 300,000 calls ultimately made. The event was considered highly successful.<6>

On February 11, 2010, OFA launched a national campaign called "You Fight, We Fight".<7> This program enabled people to pledge a number of hours in support of healthcare reform and President Barack Obama's domestic goals. Nevertheless, OFA members were never called upon to do volunteer work in support of including a public option in the bill, despite Obama's stated preference for such a provision.<8>

After the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives voted for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which completed one piece of Obama's domestic agenda, Organizing For America enabled Americans to "co-sign with the president,"<9> creating a permanent record of the bills supporters. Those who co-signed could opt to have a certificate noting their participation sent to them for free. Over one million signatures of health care bill supporters were delivered to the president in April 2010.<10>
