Santorum: WI Protesters Are 'Acting Like Their Drug Is Being Taken Away'
Edited on Tue Feb-22-11 06:25 PM by RamboLiberal
Former Pennsylvania Senator and potential 2012 presidential candidate Rick Santorum doesn't have a very high opinion of the union workers protesting in Wisconsin. "They are acting like their drug is being taken away from them," Santorum told Republicans in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Stephen Largen of the Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports that Santorum, speaking to a group of about 60 people on Monday night, also criticized entitlement programs and health care reform: "What these folks are in Washington is no better than a drug dealer," he said, adding: "They give you a subtle narcotic to make you feel better as you do worse."

Aaaaaargh! How did my state ever have "man on dog" as our senator? Glad some wised up in 2006 & kicked this POS out!

13. ok, we'll put Santorum down as anti-Medicare and Social Security
not concerned about their future solvency, but AGAINST the existence of the programs. They are harmful drugs, they are bad for people. A president Santorum will END Social Security, Medicare, unemployment insurance, etc.

15. No, it's him and his ilk that are addicts
they're addicted to money/greed. They have to have money that belongs to others because they feel they're "intitled" to it.

16. Inconceivable!
Can you imagine someone insisting on their contractual rights? It's just unheard-of in Santorum World. Why, it's a "subtle narcotic" to get the pay and benefits you negotiated for. You just "feel better" because you're getting paid, and accruing vacation and sick time, and receiving your other negotiated benefits, but Ricky says you're actually doing worse!

Hard to argue with that kind of "logic."

... of homeschooling "credits" for his children who didn't live in the district being bilked.

Says the guy who, along with his wife, sued a chiropractor for pain, suffering and loss of ability "to carry laundry" and "help out on the campaign trail." The couple received an award of 350k (out of a requested 500k) even while championing tort reform and a 250k limit on claims.

Fuck him.
