Union head offers the Wisconsin 14 a free San Diego vacation
Ha, I love it!

Wisconsin senators get offer to stay in San Diego

Even as Wisconsin state troopers went to round up 14 state senators and force them to vote on Gov. Scott Walker's plan to scale back public employee collective bargaining rights, the senators got a different offer from a California union.

Come to San Diego. And don't worry about paying for airfare, food or lodging.

"We look forward to hosting your delegation and assisting in your efforts to protect working families in any way we can," AFT Local 1931 Guild President Jim Mahler wrote to Wisconsin's Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller.

His Feb. 23 letter began: "I am writing to applaud your courage in standing up to the assaults on working people currently being levied by the wealthy elite in your state of Wisconsin, and to invite you and your fellow Democrats to stay with us in San Diego, California until such time that workers' rights cease being attacked."

Just keeps on getting better and better!

1. They are all welcome here. Soft beds, beef stew, scotch and lots of snow.

2. I think there are ethics rules preventing them from taking an offer like that.
They absolutely should not accept.

3. Really? Wonder if that letter is a hoax or set up?
I'm pretty sure if they take the offer it would be illegal. And it certainly seems to mirror the problematic offer from "Koch" to fly Walker out to L.A. for a "good time".

5. I think...I hope...it's a parody of "Koch's" offer
Didn't Walker mention to "Koch" that if he could find an instance of one of the 14 getting a ham sandwich from a union person, he'd nail them with some kind of ethics charge?

I sincerely hope this is a joke and the 14 treat it as such.

6. After the fake Koch call was released the Senate 14 released a statement that said...
they are paying for their own food, travel, lodging.
The Senate dems are being careful to not accept anything free from anyone.
