Need advice: Best web site for international news?
I have awful Comcast basic cable and do not have access to anything worthwhile. Is there a specific web site that offers the best coverage about everything that is going on in the Meddle East? Al J, BBC. other?
I like to keep informed but would like to be able to view developments close to the time they occur. My local channel is useless for anything other than NE news, and Comcast offers me Fox...Yea!

What site do you follow?

I have read the tweets on DU from Caterina. Must admit she is amazing but I'd like to get an overview of all areas on a daily basis.

It seems the world is ready for, or already engaged in, some kind of 'peoples revolt and I'd like to keep up with things.

The unrest in the Middle East is amazing. Finally the people seem to be making progress in defeating the despots who have been ruling over then for years.
The protests in Wisconsin are getting no real coverage here and I'd like to keep abreast of what is going on there too.

Suggestions?.

2. My favorite is Presstv
24 hour non-commercial coverage particularly of the MiddleEast and of the uprisings, the rest of the world, and some on the US.
They have live coverage of the events in North Africa and Middle East practically all day and night.
They continued to broadcast even when Al Jazeera was shut out.
Plus they have Arab analysts which makes sense to me since that is the part of the world being covered.
Occasionally English and US commentators, but good ones.
The news broadcasters are very professional.

Don't let people tell you is is biased.
It is out of Tehran so people assume it is biased.
Watch it yourself and decide {of course it is state tv so I don't watch it for news of protests in Iran}
but it has been great for all the other revolutions going on.

http://www.presstv.ir/--at top right- click on watch live.

Plus updates all day on the news.

5. Democratic Underground.
It is, by far, the best news aggregator on the internet.
At least it is for the kind of news that I want to read.
