United States President Barack Obama on Wednesday signed a law allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the military, repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in a sweeping and historic shift for the US armed forces.

"We are not a nation that says 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' We are a nation that says, 'Out of many, we are one'," Obama said in a raucous and emotive ceremony at the Interior Department in Washington.

Does anyone know if John McCain was there? I don't think he is the kind of person who would wish Obama well on this. He's still bitter that he lost to Obama in the 2008 election.

Because so many people were invited to attend is why the bill signing was held at the Department of the Interior's building, because they had more room there.
The big room at the White House wasn't big enough and also it has Christmas decorations that reduced the amount of folks that could fit even more!
