Reid: Treaty Buffs Obama as Nobel Prize Winner
I think President Obama will be recognized as one of the greatest American presidents.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid says the Senate's ratification of a nuclear arms treaty with Russia solidifies President Barack Obama's role as a world leader.

He tells The Associated Press that the treaty was about the standing of the United States in the world community and whether Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. Reid says Obama has turned around American foreign policy.

Reid made the comment Wednesday evening, hours after the Senate ratified the treaty on a 71-26 vote.

Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, less than a year into his presidency. Some said he was awarded the world's top peacemaking prize prematurely.

3. Well it does cement his place in history
Right next to Ronald Reagan who 1st proposed it in '82 and George H W Bush who signed Start 1 in '91, so he's got that goin' for him.

5. along with "ending" the Iraq war
and if he gets a second term and sticks to "ending" the Afghanistan war in 2014

Then adding START and the Nobel Peace Prize it is going to look good on paper, so long as he doesn't invade somewhere else.

This is the type of comment that makes Freepers heads explode. I don't really agree with it but I like adding this point of view to the discussion.
