Reid Announces Additional Recess Days in January

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) “on Monday announced a revised 2011 schedule that includes a lengthier January recess,” Roll Call reports.

The 112th Congress is still set to begin Wednesday, Jan. 5, but the Senate will adjourn at the end of that week for a two-week recess to mark the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. That recess will span Jan. 10 to Jan. 21. Under a previous version of the 2011 calendar, the Senate was scheduled to be in session from Jan. 5 to Jan. 14, with Members getting just a four-day recess from Jan. 17 to Jan. 21.

So, with that new 'big recess' I wonder if President Obama be doing some 'recess appointments' :)

14. Excellent answer. Thank you very, very much. This is why I come here.
And try to stay involved. I know it sounds like I ask some odd questions at times, I know. But, I have much to learn.
