could we come to 'fight' with our friends regarding our opinions on an issue, put someone on Ignore, then take them off again when we've cooled down, have at least some people who agree with our views, be able to get shit off our chest and find support, see people rushing to the aid of another DUer with words of caring and genuine sympathy, get the news before it shows up in our mailbox from CNN Breaking, get untarnished (!) background on any topic we're trying to learn about, and the list goes on.

I was thinking this today while listening to Hal Sparks on Stephanie Miller - people get to call in, but understandably only have a certain amount of time they can express themselves. Here, we can drone on and on, and surprisingly people actually read what's on our minds!

There is NO ONE in my circle of people who would be willing to listen to me kvetch endlessly, would put up all the snarking I can't seem to control, or who even CARE about the issues which we do here.

As much as we bitch and moan and threaten and call names, this is a pretty safe harbor for us with a lot of people of like mind, and that feels good.

So thank you all, I love you except when I hate you before I love you again, thank you all for taking the time to be here for the rest of us.
