I mean really there has been a 60 + year history of Arab v Israeli conflict over that
site and telling the Islamic people of the world that Jews praying @ one of their
most holly sites aka turning it into a quasi Synagogue is a good idea ..... :banghead:

Why would Jews want to pray in a mosque? Oh yeah...I know, we are supposed to tear down the mosque and build the Third Temple on the site. so we can fulfill Christian prophecies about the Antichrist. Never mind that only most rabid right haredim (ultra-Orthodox) have any desire to rebuild the Temple. That just frustrates the Christian fundies no end, the fact that most Jews have absolutely no interest in the project, and definitely no interest in starting WWIII by tearing down the Dome of the Rock.

Naturally I don't expect Sarah Palin to understand any of that. Somebody probably explained it to her at some time, but the thought lasted about five minutes before cognitive dissonance took over again.
