GOP House Judiciary Committee Resolves To Put 'In God We Trust' . . .

On All Federal Buildings - What Will That Cost?

http://www.pensitoreview.com/2011/03/22/gop-house-judiciary-committee-votes-to-put-in-god-we-trust-on-all-federal-buildings/

If Signs Cost $10,000 Each, the Cost of Signage for 9,000 Federal Buildings Would Require $90 Million in New Republican Spending

you have to read this article - the religiously insane are killing us.

1. Chump change
We spent more on Tomahawks in Libya yesterday. What is that - a day or two in Iraq or Afghanistan? Let's worry about real waste.

10. Wth any luck, this will backfire
and it'll emd up with the phrase not only NOT being plastered on buildings, but being deleted from our currency in the future after years of litigation over the constitutionality of it all. Too bad so much money will be wasted along the way.

11. $100 Million For Propaganda/Brainwashing, But Not One Dime For Teachers
Pretty much sums up the Republican agenda, doesn't it? They want stupid, superstitious, frightened, OBEDIENT people. Oh yeah, and BROKE people too.

13. First Amendment forbids the esbablishment of religion, not just a particular religion
Saying, with the voice of the government, that we believe there's a supreme being is unconstitional.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

15. I Agree
I was once having a conversation about religion, and I pointed out that while I'm not an Atheist, the more I'm around religious people, and the more dealings I have with them, the more Atheist I become. It's kinda like when you meet that REALLY annoying, loud-mouthed fan at work or at a sports bar or wherever, and you find yourself rooting AGAINST his team just because you can't stand him?
