So, my aunt gave me a wal-mart gift card for christmas. Wal-mart!! I screamed and cussed at her..
and really just totally denigrated her, asking her how she could waste her money on such a shitty corporation. Then I took out a pair of scissors (I always have a pair on me) and I proceeded to cut up the gift card right in front of her, then threw it at her!! And just for good measure, I kicked her walker... *and* her puppy!!!

Ok, no I really didn't do any of that stuff, I just hugged her neck, said thank you, and went and got me a new DVD player since my old one recently took a crap and died...

4. Knowing Walmart, it's probably a bad Chinese knockoff
of whatever current DVD players are out there.. with a different model #, of course.

Bet you $5 that it'll crap out within 90 days... way past the 'warranty date'

22. where do you find a good DVD player?
Our pc of junk lasted about a year - it was a gift & a replacement for another (but better) pc of junk that lasted me about 4-5 years. When the last one quit working, I called the local TV shop (we still have one in the small City where I work) He told me he couldn't fix it, they're all junk....

I hate going through electronics like that.

40. All DVD players currently on the market are junk
It's like the manufacturers are reading the writing on the wall: if you want a good DVD player, you need to buy a Blu-Ray player instead.

27. I have a Sony DVD player
It's terrible. Why? Because it's restricted to playing only US and DMA approved dvd's. Refuses to play dvd rips.

Fuckers.

Fortunately our Blue Ray is a Panasonic and a good one.

Do all BluRay players start and load up slower than a DVD player does?

I've read about that somewhere online. Most players are just coded to play North American region, and I think there is an easy way to change that. . .

51. LOL - I had a Sony laptop that crashed in less than 2 years -
I'm going to have it cleaned at the computer store and give it to a niece. She might get another year from it, but it will be free for her at least. I bought a Dell Studio and like it much better. Sony has the nicest looking electronics, imo, but they don't always hold up. Still, a Walmart gift card, there's not much to do with that ... if you have a super Walmart I guess you could buy food.
