Don't latest budget priorities -- Pentagon up, children down -- prove the U.S. is a failed state?
And if that's the case, how does that change our political strategizing, or our sense of what's to be done next?

1. I have to say I spend a lot of time sitting back and wondering what sort of finger-pointing would
go on in U.S. intelligence, diplomatic and media circles if our budget were attributed to another country. Like the USSR. It boggles.

2. Perfect analogy. We'd extrapolate on how long until said state collapsed
...as we analyzed the prioritizing of military adventurism over taking care of its citizens. I wonder how long other intelligence services are giving us? :shrug:
